Breedlove Brazilian Rosewood Series

Over 50 years ago, a few Brazilian rosewood logs were shipped to a village just outside of Madrid, Spain, and were stored in an open-air warehouse for two decades then sawn into tonewood sets, labeled, and left to season for decades more. With a half century’s worth of natural aging, this Brazilian collection has given Breedlove the cream of the crop. All legally documented.
Breedlove is building two limited edition models of 50 each, Breedlove Journey ($5,332) and Breedlove Journey FS ($6,665). These concert instruments are designed for completely different playing styles and sound.

The Breedlove Journey Concert is designed to deliver powerful, robust sound. It takes full advantage of the Brazilian’s character, delivering highly present bass tones much as a woofer does for a sound system. The salvaged Sitka spruce top is paired perfectly allowing for tonal balance and, most importantly, tonal range. The Breedlove Journey truly comes alive the second it is played.

The Breedlove Journey FS Concert is designed for fingerstyle play to deliver note-for-note warmth and beautiful sound. Breedlove concert body fingerstyle guitars are known for their tonal spectrum and volume balance. Innovations like a graduated top, the Breedlove bridge truss system, asymmetrical headstock, and the winged pinless bridge have all contributed to the unique Breedlove fingerstyle sound.

Yamaha RevStar RS820

Yamaha has introduced the new RevStar lineup of solid-body electric guitars that deliver great sound, styling, and value. All seven models exude a hip, sexy vibe reminiscent of the café racer style of motorcycles that influenced 1960’s Tokyo and London. To celebrate its 50 years of quality guitar manufacturing, Yamaha designed the RevStar series with painstaking attention to detail, seeking input from professional guitarists and other experts from around the globe. Stunning colors and finishes complement the sleek body contours, while hand-wound pickups and materials perfectly match each instrument’s character. Yamaha engineers designed a proprietary DrySwitch to enhance the tone of six guitars in the series, offering the versatility of a coil split and helping to deliver a roaring tone that distinguishes RevStar from the rest of the pack.

JodyJazz Premium Accessories

The new JodyJazz Cork Grease is high-grade. The cork grease will lubricate your instrument cork to ensure airtight fit every time. Using it regularly will protect and extend the life of your cork. Also great for clarinet, oboe, and bassoon.

The JodyJazz Perfect Patch Mouthpiece cushion can be used to protect your mouthpiece and the enamel on your teeth. It’s smaller than many other mouthpiece cushions because too large a patch deadens vibrations from the mouthpiece, which takes away a minute amount of richness in the sound. The JodyJazz Perfect Patch Mouthpiece cushion is a clear cushion and available in a 4-pack.

Alfred Music Playing Cards: International Drum Rudiments and Instruments

Created by Alfred Music author Dave Black, Alfred’s Music Playing Cards: International Drum Rudiments is a way for users to familiarize themselves with drum essentials. This standard 52-card deck of playing cards is divided into four suits, each representing a different rudimental family: Roll Rudiments, Diddle Rudiments, Flam Rudiments, and Drag Rudiments. Four jokers are included as well—each containing a history of the Standard 26 American Drum Rudiments, the PAS International Drum Rudiments, the Hybrid Drum Rudiments, and suggestions on how to practice.

These playing cards are divided into four suits, each representing a different family of instruments: brass, woodwind, string, and percussion. Each card shows an instrument’s image and includes facts about its origin, design, and use.
