DC Jazz Festival Announces Partnership With Harlem Fine Arts Show

The DC Jazz Festival (DCJF) has announced a new partnership with the Harlem Fine Arts Show (HFAS), presenting a visual arts pop-up as part of DC JazzFest at The Wharf presented by Events DC, June 14 to 16. Part of DC JazzFest’s monumental 15th Anniversary celebration, the Harlem Fine Arts Show partnership also marks the 10thanniversary for HFAS. The 2019 DC JazzFest presented by Events DC dates are June 7 to 16.

New to the Festival this year, the HFAS exhibition will be a vibrant display of visual artistry celebrating the African Diaspora with contemporary artists from a growing class of collectors. This unique art show pop-up will take place June 14-16 on Transit Pier at The Wharf. Attendees will have the opportunity to view beautiful art from some of the most creative African-American artists in the country. Admission to the HFAS pop-up is $25, and tickets are on sale here.

“Our mission at the Harlem Fine Arts Show has always been to showcase the art of the African Diaspora and we pride ourselves on being able to connect established and emerging artists with patrons in unique ways,” said Dion Clarke, Founder of the HFAS. “We look forward to our 2019 partnership with the DC Jazz Festival by delivering a great art show to the festival.”

The 2019 DC JazzFest presented by Events DC will celebrate 15 years with renowned artists in settings throughout the capital city with more stages to be announced.

“The addition of our partnership with the Harlem Fine Arts Show provides an exciting new element to our 15th anniversary celebrations,” said DCJF executive director Sunny Sumter. “We are going to fully inhabit The Wharf, providing a true festival experience along the District’s Southwest waterfront. We promised that our 15th anniversary festival would be monumental, and this partnership helps underscore that.”
