The Potomac Jazz & Seafood Festival, one of the Mid-Atlantic’s signature jazz events, will be expanded from a one-day event to a three-day jazz weekend in celebration of the festival’s 20th anniversary this July.

The 20th Anniversary Weekend, billed as “A Soulful Summer Serenade,” is expected to be even bigger, as the festival will now include a series of jazz-themed events throughout Leonardtown including jazz brunches, after parties, art shows and more. The festivities kick-off with an intimate jazz concert on the Square in downtown Historic Leonardtown on Friday, July 12, 2019 featuring contemporary jazz trio “Higher Standards” from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. followed by after parties at in-town restaurants, Old Towne Pub and Social Coffeehouse and Speakeasy.

On Saturday, July 13, 2019, the main event of the Potomac Jazz & Seafood Festival will begin on the grounds of St. Clement’s Island Museum in Colton’s Point, 20 short minutes from Leonardtown. Three nationally-acclaimed jazz acts will perform during the afternoon and evening.

On Sunday, July 14, 2019, the Town of Leonardtown once again will be the host of various jazz-themed activities, including jazz brunches at several in-town restaurants, jazz classes at a local, in-town fitness studio, jazz events at Port of Leonardtown Winery Cooperative tasting room, and an afternoon jazz event featuring local jazz artists and other activities at Shepherds Old Field Market.

Area hotels and lodging partners will also be offering discounted rates for attendees. Event tickets may be purchased online at www.PotomacJazzAndSeafoodFestival.com for $65 each. There is a limit of 1000 tickets available to the general public.
