South Bend Jazz Fest Celebrates Sixth Year

The 6th annual South Bend Jazz Fest in Indiana took place this past September 23 in South Bend, Indiana.  From 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., jazz continuously flowed outside, showcasing international talent and three class groups from area high schools.

In the past five years, the festival has grown from the Jon Hunt Plaza to the Century Center. The festival also partnered with radio station WVPE for the festival this year.

Performers this year included Indonesian violinist Hendri Lamiri, saxophonist Danny Lerman, Canadian jazz guitarist Galen Weston, Israeli saxophonist Eli Degibri,  singer Michelle Coltrane, the new Darrel Tidaback Ensemble, the Clay High School Jazz Band, and the Mishawaka High School Band and Choir.
