A Passage to Improv

May 6, 2021, 7pm ET – Concert: A Passage to Improv – Musings on passages by Britten, Ravel, and Stravinsky

https://www.parmarecordings.com/event/david-haney-live-stream-05-06-21/

Composer and pianist David Haney, multi instrumentalists, Dave Storrs, and Mark McGrath, present a revolutionary way to explore classical music. Most compositions are developed using some degree of improvisation. By playing (experimenting) with some of the great passages of music from Stravinsky, Britten and Ravel, Haney and company present a window into the rare hybrid world of composed and improvised music, in which both disciplines inspire each other. Enjoy this modern look at classical music.
