Charles Gayle Honored for Lifetime Of Achievement from Vision Fest

The nineteenth Vision Festival, Arts For Art has acknowledged Charles Gayle for his Lifetime of Achievement, calling him “one of the greatest saxophone players.”

The festival has stated that Gayle is tireless in his commitment to the music, establishing himself in recent years as an elder who refuses to lay back and rest on his musical accomplishments, for fear that the music might lose its ability to move us. He has said about his character “Streets” that he dons that attire so that he can get out of the way to let the Music shine. The festival has programmed three bands to play his music on the opening night of the festival, June 11, 2014.
