Indianapolis Jazz Foundation honors Buselli and Wallarab

The Indianapolis Jazz Foundation has announced that jazz trumpeter, composer, and educator Mark Buselli and jazz trombonist, composer, and educator Brent Wallarab are the recipients of the Indianapolis Jazz Hall of Fame award.

Both men received the awards on September 22 at the Indiana Landmarks Center.

The pair is best known locally for their co-led big band, the Buselli Wallarab Jazz Orchestra. Their band has also written an original three-movement salute to Richmond, Indiana recording pioneers Gennett Record
