Make Music Day 2021 Features Enrico Rava & Bebo Ferra on Facebook Live on June 21, 6PM ET

Join DC Jazz Festival (DCJF) and our friends at the Italian Culture Institute in Washington, DC today, Monday, June 21, for a special Make Music Day 2021 concert featuring the iconic Italian jazz trumpeter Enrico Rava performing for the first time with guitarist Bebo Ferra.

Recorded live in the stunning setting of Lake D’Orta, near Milan, Italy for “Make Music Day”, a free celebration of music around the world, the concert will feature renditions of classics by Tom Jobim, James Van Heusen and Victor Young, in addition to the duo’s original pieces.

A legend of Italian jazz and one of the first Italian musicians to have worked and recorded in America in the 1960s, Enrico Rava has a sound that blends Italian flow and colors with the configuration of jazz.

Bebo Ferra

One of the most famous Italian jazz guitarist, Bebo Ferra began studying the guitar at the age of nine. He has collaborated with many prominent members of the Italian and international Jazz scene.

Make Music Day is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21st. Launched in 1982 in France as the FĂȘte de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 120 countries. In Italy alone, there will be more than 400 events, with the participation of about 5,000 artists performing virtually, in person (where allowed) or both!
