National Association For Music Education Celebrates Jazz Appreciation Month

For Jazz Appreciation Month, the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) will continue to provide resources for audiences interested in learning about and teaching jazz. NAfME members along with Jazz at Lincoln Center (JALC), offering resources for music educators on NAfME’s resource page,http://bit.ly/NAfMEJazz, which includes teaching resources for music educators and others interested in jazz music education.

NAfME values jazz both in education and music appreciation. This year, Todd Stoll of JALC will serve as the guest conductor of NAfME’s All-National Jazz Ensemble, which will perform at Walt Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort, on November 25 to 28. The deadline for All-National auditions/applications is May 4. And an additional guest conductor for the All-National Honor Jazz Ensemble will be announced soon.
