NEC Shares Interview with Tepfer To Celebrate Jazz50

Share This:

In celebration of Jazz50, the 50th anniversary of the New England Conservatory’s jazz department, NEC has shared a video titled “In conversation with Dan Tepfer.”

The 30-minute video features an interview between NEC student Ye Huang, and pianist-composer and alumnus Dan Tepfer, discussing everything from Tepfer’s musical influences to the relationship between music and technology. Tepfer attended NEC from 2003 to 2005 for his master’s degree.

The video is just part of Jazz50, celebrating the vibrant legacy and future of Jazz Studies at NEC. The first fully accredited jazz program at a music conservatory, the program is a global leader in jazz education today. Some highlights of Jazz50 include performances by NEC faculty, alumni and students who are shaping the next 50 years of jazz.
