Wynton Marsalis to Help Open new St. Louis Jazz Center

Esteemed jazz ambassador Wynton Marsalis will be on hand to headline festivities celebrating the opening of St. Louis’ state-of-the-art Harold & Dorothy Steward Center for Jazz on October 2. The state-of-the-art performance and education facility is located at the epicenter of the blossoming Grand Center arts district in St. Louis. Marsalis brings his Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra for a marquee performance at the center’s grand opening. Plans for a major performance and education facility have been several years in the making, as St. Louis jazz enthusiasts made a tremendous push and show of support to reclaim the city’s reputation as a top jazz hub and destination in the world. Its Midwest location offers an attractive blend of soul and sophistication not found elsewhere.
